Detectives have formed Strike Force Zygon and are appealing for information after the body of woman was found in Botany earlier today.
Emergency services were called to bushland in Sir Joseph Banks Park, Botany, about 7am today (Monday 9 December 2024), following reports a body had been found.
Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command arrived to find the body of a woman wrapped in plastic. She is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene was established and detectives with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad have formed Strike Force Zygon to investigate the suspicious death.
Investigation into the incident continue.
