NTU has a strong showing in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, which was released today.
The University was recognised for excelling in disciplines that are both emerging and highly sought after, alongside its established academic strongholds.
NTU now has six subjects in the world's top five, up from two last year, and 11 subjects in the global top 10. A total of 35 subjects are ranked in the global top 50.
NTU has shown its strength in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (5th) and Computer Science & Information Systems (6th) - domains that are in high demand globally. The rankings also reaffirm NTU's academic strongholds - Materials Science (2nd), Communication & Media Studies (4th), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (4th) and Education (8th).
Three new subjects broke into the global Top 20 this year: Art and Design (19th), Accounting & Finance (20th), and Mathematics (20th).
This continued success reflects NTU's commitment in equipping its graduates with the knowledge and skills to excel in their careers and drive meaningful societal impact through its focus on academic excellence, world-class faculty and interdisciplinary programmes.
