Stroud's new skate park underway

Work has commenced on the replacement of Stroud's skate park, which will provide a brand new facility within Stroud's sporting hub for skateboarders by May.

A new or rejuvenated skate park has been on the Stroud community's wish list for some time, and thanks to funding allocated from the Duralie Community Fund, it is now becoming a reality.

The existing skate park is well past its useful life, with the existing concrete surface really starting to show its age. The new skate park will be constructed of polished concrete and include features such as hipped transition, flatbanks, small fun box, whoopty-do, roll-in and grind ledges.

Work is expected to be complete by early May, weather permitting.
