Structure Fire In Alice Springs 23 July

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Territory Police have responded to a structure fire in the early hours of this morning in Alice Springs.

Around 4.15am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of a structure fire at a residential premises on Gosse St in East Side.

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) attended and extinguished the fire. The premises sustained substantial damaged as a result of the fire.

Police can confirm no persons were inside the structure at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported. The residence is believed to have been abandoned, and at this stage is not believed to be linked to an aggravated robbery that occurred on Gosse Street on the weekend.

NT Police and NTFRS are investigating the cause of the fire which is currently unknown.
