Late last year, a number of Council Masterplans and Structure Plans had updates to display what projects from these plans had occurred, and what projects were coming up in the near future.

Chirnside Park Urban Design Masterplan 2010
Over the last 13 years, there has been a high level of change in the Chirnside Park commercial centre, including:
- Development of a number of key sites with significant commercial and residential developments
- Completion of the Council's 'green spine' link, which is a pedestrian and cycle path along Maroondah Highway
- Council's purchase and draft design of the 'urban park' at Belsay Reserve (opposite the shopping centre at the corner of Black Springs Road and Kimberley Drive)
Council's Urban Design Masterplan 2010 sets out a vision and framework for how the centre should change over time, to ensure it happens in a coordinated way, enabling and guiding changes like those listed above.
Council thanks all who contributed to the formulation of the Plan in 2010, which has led to good progress in delivering the vision. However, the Plan is still not fully implemented.
Late last year, a report was presented to Council explaining the status of the Plan's actions, with some updates to modify and rationalise the action list. Details are available on the Council website, by searching for the Council Agenda of 13 December 2022.
The next phase will be an exciting one for Chirnside Park, with increased developments on private land, more residents being able to live in higher density developments within the town centre, and the construction of the urban park, among other items to look forward to.
Mooroolbark Structure Plan 2011
The past 12 years has seen significant change in the Mooroolbark commercial centre, including:
- Redevelopment of the former Mooroolbark Primary School land with two and three storey townhouses
- An increase in the density and diversity of housing in residential areas near the commercial centre
- More recently, the level crossing removal with a new train station constructed and a multi-level car park
Council's Mooroolbark Structure Plan 2011 sets out a vision and framework for how the centre should change over time, to ensure it happens in a coordinated way, enabling and guiding changes like those listed above.
Council thanks everyone who provided input into the formulation of the Plan in 2011, which has led to some great progress being made. However, the Plan is still not fully implemented.

Coldstream Structure Plan 2016
Since 2016, there have been some significant changes in Coldstream, including:
- A planning permit issued for a 67 residential subdivision at the key vacant redevelopment site near 'the Lodge' shopping complex on Maroondah Highway
- Completion of the Melba Trail, linking Halley Supple Reserve to Coombe Cottage, with a series of art installations along its length
- Completion of the Yarra Valley Trail from Lilydale to Yarra Glen, and the recent opening of the Coldstream Pump Track at the former train station site

Healesville Structure Plan 2016
Over the last seven years, there have been some significant changes in Healesville, including:
- Redevelopment works taking place at key sites within the town
- Council master planning and construction of improvements to Lilydale Road, including parking capacity increases
- Works to create a new Tarrawarra Train Station as part of the Yarra Valley Railway, which involves relocation of the old Mooroolbark Train Station

Since 2017, there have been some significant changes in Monbulk, including:
- The completion of the Yarra Valley Water sewer works mid-last year, which has altered future implications for residential development
- Initial Council design options and consultation on the future of the Moores Road recreation area, to potentially include residential uses and a 'village green', as shown in the draft Monbulk Urban Design Framework 2022
