Student Journalists Shine: China's Youth Coverage Spotlight

In the context of the fiftieth anniversary celebration of the establishment of Brasil-China diplomatic relations, students from the Kids 20 project were invited by the Chinese Embassy in Brasil to visit the Far Eastern country, in a cultural exchange that resulted in various contents

Invited by the Chinese Embassy, four Brazilian students had the opportunity to learn more about the ancient history and culture of the Asian country, bringing the Far East closer to young reporters in the public schools of São Paulo and Alagoas. But Alana, Ana Clara, Isabella and Moisés didn't go to the other side of the world just for a walk. One of the main objectives was to produce news content as young reporters for Kids 20. China is a member of the G20 and this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Brazilian diplomatic relations.

The production itinerary for the special envoys included diverse topics such as technology, diplomacy, history and culture, with a guarantee of exclusive interviews for the young reporters. In Shanghai, the students spoke to Lázaro Wang Lu, Public Relations Director of Kwai, one of the largest short video production companies in the world. In addition, they had the opportunity to get to know the company, which has more than 15,000 employees. Watch the audiovisual:

Another agenda was an interview with the former Chinese ambassador to Brasil, Yang Wanming. Invited by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Young Press students were received at the Association's headquarters in Beijing, where they spoke with the diplomat. Among the questions, topics related to diplomatic careers and the history of China's native peoples were discussed. Watch the interview:
