Initiated in 2003, the annual Premier's Anzac Student Tour provides a unique opportunity for students to strengthen their knowledge of, and commitment to, Australia's rich military history through visiting historic Anzac landmarks. Since 2004, a total of 246 secondary students have been selected to take part.
As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:
"This unique Anzac tour enables these students to take part in an immersive historical experience where they will get a front row seat in visiting our defences as well as the memorials to commemorate the service of Anzac men and women.
"The tour offers students and staff the chance to explore new perspectives and engage in discussions not found in textbooks, which they can then bring back and share with their peers at school.
"As part of their travels, students will deepen their understanding and honour the legacy of those brave men and women who served."
