The Cook Labor Government has today opened a new round of the Builders' Support Facility, helping local builders to complete construction on delayed housing projects and get more Western Australians into their homes sooner.
The successful program provides no-interest loans to builders to help complete homes under construction for more than two years.
The first two rounds of the program have delivered $8.4 million across 47 loans to support the completion of 150 homes - with 65 homes now complete as a result of the initiative.
An additional $5 million has been made available under Round 3 of the program, on top of the initial $10 million allocation, to help more builders complete works across the State.
Up to $1 million in total assistance is now available to builders across all three rounds, with up to $60,000 available per home.
Builders are required to complete eligible properties within 12 months to access the full loan amount.
Loans from Round 3 will be available on a 'first come, first served' basis, with applications to close at 5pm on Monday, 16 December 2024.
