Bayside Council's Summer Foreshore Program, Love Our Bay, is encouraging residents and visitors to show love towards our bay, and display respectful behaviour over summer.
Visitors to the foreshore can stay safe and help keep our bay clean this summer by following a few basic Love Our Bay guidelines:
- Be mindful of others
- Respect the marine life, and flora and fauna.
- Put your rubbish in the bin or take it with you.
- Swim within the enclosed netted areas and keep a watchful eye on young children and inexperienced swimmers.
- Obey parking signs. Do not park across driveways or on grass verges.
- Use coal-fired BBQs in one of the four designated areas. Dispose of hot coals correctly in hot coals bins.
Beach goers can also be in the running to win one of several beach packs by posting a photo on social media demonstrating positive beach behaviour and tagging @baysidensw.
