The response to tickets for Griffith's first ever Suncorp Super Netball pre-season event has been incredible! With the event now sold-out Council can't wait for March 3 to arrive.
If you're lucky enough to be a ticket holder to the event, make sure you head down the Griffith Regional Sports Centre early to take advantage of all the activities on offer.
Gates will open from 8am so come and grab your breakfast from the Griffith Netball Association, Murrumbidgee Regional High School or Beelbangera Public School stalls, and don't forget your coffee from Kim's Runabout Coffee. Or maybe you'd prefer an ice cream from the Mr Whippy truck while you check out the GIANTS Netball merchandise on offer. The Sports Centre kiosk will also be in full-swing throughout the day for all your food and refreshment needs.
Head inside the stadium for the curtain raiser game at 9.30am and watch the NSW Men's Opens v Opens A teams battle it out in an exhibition match. The game is guaranteed to be fast, skilful and entertaining. Prodigy Dance Studio and our littlest netball superstars from Griffith and Narrandera Netball Associations will be on court in between games entertaining the crowd, and our own local Matt Collins from Triple M breakfast radio will be on hand to keep the atmosphere pumping.
Then sit back in our amazing facility and enjoy watching elite netballers doing their thing as the GIANTS take on the Mavericks at 12pm.
Griffith City Council is excited to be in partnership with Griffith Netball Association to bring a sporting event of this standard to town for the first time. The event wouldn't have been possible without support from Kennards Hire, Amanti Di Caffé, Baby Chopsticks, MIA Coaches and Giuseppe's Restaurant and Bar.
