Police have charged a man and a woman allegedly found in possession of a vehicle involved in an armed robbery.
Officers spotted a red Toyota in the Pascoe Vale South area around 5.30pm last night.
It is alleged that the Toyota was involved in an armed robbery in Carlton, where a shotgun was produced, on 31 October.
Police maintained sight of the vehicle from a distance.
Officers moved in and intercepted the Toyota on Parkstone Avenue about 5.55pm.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene.
There were no injuries.
It is alleged that a firearm was located in the boot of the Toyota.
A 29-year-old Carlton man was charged with armed robbery and weapons offences.
He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
A 45-year-old Coburg woman was charged with possess drug of dependence, unlicensed driving and bail offences.
She was bailed to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 26 March 2025.
