Sunset Series: Indie Tunes & Family Fun at St Leonards

North Sydney Council

North Sydney's popular Sunset Series is back this April, bringing an afternoon of indie-inspired live music, family-friendly activities, and community vibes to the beautiful surrounds of St Leonards Park.

From 2pm to 6pm on Sunday 13 April, locals and visitors are invited to bring a picnic rug, stretch out on the grass, and enjoy an eclectic mix of performances and entertainment from 2pm to 6pm - all completely free.

This month's event features GODTET, a renowned instrumental group known for their seamless blend of jazz, psychedelia and improvisation. They'll be joined by BlauHaus, whose electrifying solo performance combines acid jazz and funk with live looping to create a truly immersive experience.

Beyond the music, families can enjoy a range of interactive experiences. An enchanting bubble artist will roam the park throughout the afternoon, while the North Sydney District Juniors Cricket Club hosts a lively sports demo encouraging kids to get active and involved. Young creatives can also drop by a hands-on craft station, and delicious food options will be available from Authentic Turkish Gozleme and Gelato Man.

North Sydney Mayor Zoe Baker said:

"This is a great example of how we're activating our public spaces to bring people together, support local creatives, and enhance community wellbeing. Events like this help strengthen the sense of community in North Sydney. Whether you're coming for the music, the family fun or to relax in the park, it's a chance to connect with your community."

The Sunset Series is all about offering high-quality live music in a relaxed, accessible setting—a chance for the community to come together and enjoy local talent in one of North Sydney's most loved parks.

The final Sunset Series event will take place on Sunday 11 May, featuring a special Mother's Day edition with more music and entertainment to be announced.
