Head to the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Arena at Sippy Downs on Thursday 29 August where you watch the replay of the Paralympic Games opening ceremony, LIVE broadcast of Paralympic competition events, para sport come and try and a wheelchair rugby and basketball match.
Additional LIVE sites will be activated across the state throughout the Games including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Longreach, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.
Paris 2024 broadcasts go LIVE on various dates at locations across Queensland from 27 July to 12 August (AEST) for the Olympic Games and 29 August to 9 September (AEST) for the Paralympic Games.
As stated by Minister for State Development and Infrastructure Grace Grace:
"The lighting of the Olympic and Paralympic flames in Paris will ignite the Games spirit right here in Queensland as we count down to our 2032 Games.
"Olympics and Paralympics LIVE sites will be the perfect place for our Queensland communities to get together and show their support for our inspirational athletes.
"Our LIVE sites will activate just days after we celebrate our own milestone of 8-Years-To-Go until the start of our Games on 23 July 2032.
"Sunshine Coast locals will be able to celebrate at two special LIVE sites at Coolum Beach and UniSC.
"All through Paris 2024, Queenslanders will be sharing the special excitement that goes with being a future Games host."
As stated by Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee President Andrew Liveris:
"Queenslanders will be right behind their Olympic and Paralympic teams as they go for gold in Paris and it's fantastic that so many local communities will be able to share in the excitement as part of Olympics and Paralympics LIVE sites. "The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be shared across Queensland and these LIVE sites are just a taste of what's in store in the years ahead, as we celebrate sport together. "I congratulate all involved in bringing the Paris 2024 Games to life, from Cairns to Coolangatta."
As stated by Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli:

"The Sunshine Coast will come alive during the Games with opportunities for our community to enjoy free coverage of Olympic and Paralympic events alongside some great local food and fun. I encourage our community to come along on July 27 to Jack Morgan Park in Coolum Beach to watch Olympics LIVE, Cool Runnings and enjoy the food trucks, kids' games and more.

As stated by Member for Caloundra Jason Hunt MP:
"Living on the Sunshine Coast is like living in a big village, the community loves coming together and supporting one another. The Paris Olympic LIVE Activation Sites are a fantastic opportunity for people of the Sunshine Coast to do just that – come together to and celebrate the wins and tribulations, to watch and cheer on all our amazing Olympians including former student of the Caloundra State High School Performing Athlete Program student Haylie Powell who was selected to be a part of the Australian Skateboarding Team for the Paris Olympics.
"Why not get your friends and family together and get down to one of the Olympic LIVE sites for some fun and camaraderie and to watch some amazing athletes do their very best."
As stated by Member for Nicklin Rob Skelton MP:
"The Sunshine Coast is set to become a vibrant hub of Olympic and Paralympic spirit with our LIVE sites at Coolum Beach and UniSC, bringing the community together to support our athletes and celebrate our future as hosts in 2032."
"These events not only unite us in cheering for our Australian teams but also inspire our local youth, showcasing the excitement and possibilities of the Olympic and Paralympic Games right here at home."
As stated by Paris 2024 Olympic athlete Matt Denny from Allora in the Southern Downs (Matt will compete in the Discus event he was previously selected for both Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020):
"I grew up a country kid and you often feel the distance can disconnect you. Having live sites around Queensland will go a long way for all the local communities to catch up and get behind the Teams in Paris, be a part of the action and give our kids a solid dose of inspiration!"
As stated by Australian Paralympic Team co-captain Curtis McGrath:
"It's fantastic to know that our friends, families and fans will have the opportunity to cheer on the Australian Paralympic Team at Paralympics LIVE events around Queensland.
"I encourage everyone to get out to a Paralympics LIVE event or host a watch party to support our team as we compete in Paris."
