'Super Vax Weekend' is coming to Western Australia from November 6 to 7.
Pop-up clinics at eight Bunnings locations and other convenient locations, as well as fixed State-run clinics, will make it easier than ever for Western Australians to get vaccinated - with no appointment necessary.
Participating Bunnings stores include Rockingham, Harrisdale, Mindarie, Balcatta, Cannington, Ellenbrook, Geraldton and Busselton.
Thousands of Diwali festivalgoers will also be able to 'roll up' for WA at an expanded Claremont Showgrounds clinic with extended hours.
Western Australians can also get vaccinated at clinics in Coolbellup, Northbridge, Carramar, Armadale, Midland, Kwinana, Joondalup, Perth CBD, Mirrabooka, Geraldton, Morawa, Northam, Albany and Bunbury.
A new clinic has opened today in the Peel region, located at 5/264 Pinjarra Road, Mandurah and a new clinic at Canning Vale Market City, first floor, Block B, Suite 14/280 Bannister Road, will open to coincide with 'Super Vax Weekend'.
As part of 'Super Vax Weekend', there will also be fun activities for the community and families.
Opening hours vary depending on your preferred location, please visit www.rollup.wa.gov.au for more information.
WA Health State COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue to be available in more than 100 locations across WA, with sites listed on the HealthyWA website (click on COVID-19), and people can attend any State-run clinic without an appointment.
The State-run clinics are in addition to the participating GPs, pharmacies, Aboriginal Medical Services and GP respiratory clinics, which are managed by the Commonwealth, to provide COVID-19 vaccines across Western Australia.
All Western Australians aged 12 years and above are urged to visit www.rollup.wa.gov.au to find out where they can get vaccinated as soon as possible.
As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:
"Western Australians can 'roll up' to a Bunnings this weekend - grab some indoor plants, pick up a sausage sizzle and get vaccinated.
"With no appointments necessary, this weekend is the easiest it's been to get your COVID-19 vaccine at any pop-up, community State-run clinic or at one of these special Bunnings clinics.
"Vaccination is vital. If you're eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, get it now. There are many locations popping up, giving people added convenience."
As stated by Health Minister Roger Cook:
"The message is simple - don't hesitate, vaccinate.
"This is a convenient and innovative partnership with Bunnings to make it even easier to get vaccinated.
"Help your local community by getting vaccinated then help your local charity by buying a sausage in a bun. It doesn't get more West Aussie than that.
"Every week we are adding more pop-up vaccination clinics.
"I hope everyone embraces Super Vax Weekend with the enthusiasm it deserves."
As stated by Vaccine Commander Chris Dawson:
"I urge all Western Australians to really get behind this initiative and make the most of these convenient locations.
"The mandated deadline to get vaccinated is fast-approaching for a large cohort of West Australians. Don't leave it til the last minute when you could face queues.
"Do it this weekend. Make it a priority."
