Supercars To Return To Symmons Plains In May 2025

Tasmanian Government

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship calendar has been released today, with the Supercars slated to return to Symmons Plains from 9-11 May 2025 for some exciting motorsports action.

Minister for Sport and Events, Nic Street, said the Tasmanian Government is a proud supporter of the Supercars, having supported the event since it first came to Tasmania in 2004.

"We have a dedicated motorsports following in Tasmania, and it is pleasing to see the event return to Symmons Plains in May 2025," Minister Street said.

"We know that it also brings a significant number of interstate visitors to the state, with the 6,000 who attended this year making a massive contribution to our visitor economy.

"Hundreds of thousands of viewers also watch the television broadcasts and engage on social media, so the potential reach and return on our investment is phenomenal.

"Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, the Tasmanian Government is committed to securing Tasmania's key iconic events like the Supercars."

Partnership negotiations are ongoing between the Supercars and Events Tasmania, with an outcome expected soon.
