Eurobodalla Council encourages travellers to make the most of Regional Express flights to and from Sydney, which are operating normally despite the airline's cutback on intercity services.
Since Rex Airline's voluntary administration in July, regional routes have not been affected. Council's airport manager Sheldon Jones said the Moruya-Sydney service remains reliable and affordable. His hot tip was to fly Wednesdays and Fridays for the best deals.
"If you book a couple of weeks in advance, there are plenty of options at a good price," Mr Jones said.
"Looking at flights later in October it's $179 to and from Sydney each way. The next step up in price was $199, so not a big jump."
Mr Jones said passenger numbers at Moruya Airport have been slower since Rex went into voluntary administration.
"People may have become uncertain about travelling with Rex, but we believe passenger numbers will bounce back as confidence returns," Mr Jones said.
"There is strong demand for air travel in our region, and we are confident the service will strengthen into the future."
To boost passenger confidence, the Federal Government announced a guarantee it will provide refunds if Rex is unable to fulfill its services.
"In the unlikely instance where Rex ceased to operate, passengers will be entitled to a full refund," Mr Jones said.
"We encourage everyone to support our regional service, and hope more people consider the option of flying.
"The Moruya-Sydney flight service is a quick and easy way for the Eurobodalla community to visit Sydney and access destinations all over Australia."
