Supporting International Women's Day 2025

Tasmanian Government

The Tasmanian Government is recognising the valuable contribution of Tasmania's women, with applications now open for the 2025 International Women's Day Small Grants Program.

Minister for Women and the Prevention of Family Violence, Jo Palmer, said the Tasmanian Government will provide small grants to support events run by local organisations across the State on or around International Women's Day.

"The International Women's Day Small Grants Program supports events and projects that raise awareness of women's achievements, build connections between women, and educate the community about the contribution of women," Minister Palmer said.

"This year's program continues to encourage projects that contribute to cultural change so that Tasmania's women and girls have equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of Tasmanian life.

"An important part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future is to support our communities, and I encourage local organisations, schools and community groups to apply for these grants."

A total grant funding pool of $20,000 is available.

International Women's Day is held on 8 March each year and is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.
