We're closing the southern soccer pitch of R J Sillitoe Reserve from Tuesday 1 April 2025 for the winter sports season. Community access to the remainder of the reserve is via Lawson Street, while the Ludstone Street entrance is closed.
To protect the integrity of the sportsground surface we're fencing around one soccer pitch, with use limited to soccer training and competition. The partial, temporary closure provides the opportunity to maintain the sportsground condition for the winter season, resulting in a safer, more enjoyable player experience.
The community, including dog walkers, can still access the northern end of the reserve. The nearby Wishart Reserve dog park is also a great place for dogs to socialise and exercise.
