New research into the eating habits of the nation reveals how adventurous Australians really are when it comes to their food
Results showed that over half [57%] of Australians have been brave enough to try pate, and a quarter [25%] have tried black pudding!
The survey also shows the most popular cuisines, revealing that Australians eat an average of 2.6 different cuisines a week, with the native 'Australian' being the popular among other cuisines such as Chinese and Thai
In Australia, we truly give everything 'a go', and new research from HelloFresh shows just how adventurous the nation is when it comes to what they eat.
It confirms that while Australian cuisine is still proved to be the most popular with almost [88%] of respondents saying they eat this cuisine once or more in a typical week. They revealed they eat 2.6 different types of cuisines on average, ranging from cuisines as diverse as Chinese, Thai, and Japanese to the more traditional cuisines such as Australian and Italian.
Tasmania Was Found To Have The Most Adventurous Eaters, With Residents Having Tried 74% of The Listed Adventurous Foods
When presented with 20 adventurous ingredients, including foods such as Kimchi, chilli chocolate and pate. Tasmania was found to have the most adventurous eaters, with residents having tried 74% of the listed foods. Those in South Australia & New South Wales were the least adventurous eaters, having tried 64% of the adventurous foods listed.
The ingredients that have piqued the interest of the adventurous eaters of Australia are pate and black pudding, with over half [57%] of Australians having tried pate and a quarter [25%] having tried black pudding.
