A house has been destroyed following a fire at Beelbangera in the Griffith Local Area Command, NSW Police say.
About 5.30am yesterday, a woman travelling on Rankin Springs Road noticed a house well alight on a property on Davis Street Beelbangera, about 10km from Griffith, and contacted emergency services.
Fire & Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service firefighters worked to extinguish the fire; however, the house was gutted. The house was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
Further investigation established that a boat and trailer were missing from the property.
About 8.30pm police located the boat and trailer on Rankin Springs Road, about 10km north of Beelbangera.
A crime scene was established and police are treating the fire as suspicious
Investigations are ongoing.
