Police are investigating the circumstances of suspicious packages located on beaches in the Bundaberg area yesterday, March 11.
Police were advised around 6am yesterday that a suspicious package had washed up.
Following extensive patrols on the water and shoreline, further packages containing a suspicious substance were located yesterday. Extensive patrols will be conducted again today.
The public are urged to contact police should further packages be located and to not open them as the substance could be hazardous.
Anyone with information that can assist with investigations is urged to contact police.
