We have replaced all 68 Paid Parking Machines in our Foreshore carparks and along sections of Beach Road.
The new environmentally friendly meters are cashless, ticketless and rely on their own power source.
This will help reduce the environmental impacts from paper tickets and ensure a more efficient system.
The new machines will also move to the 4G network as the 3G network used in our previous machines will be turned off in June 2024.
This will ensure continuity for the paid parking service which contributes approximately $2million annually in income to offsetting the costs of maintaining the Foreshore areas.
The new parking meters are reliable and will integrate with Council's parking software system to ensure real information to support efficient parking enforcement.
