Swan Hill Rural City Council and Swan Hill Incorporated are excited to announce the inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting event, which promises to bring the magic of the season to life for our community.
Council CEO, Scott Barber extends an invitation for the community far and wide to come along on Thursday, 21 November, for an evening filled with festive fun and the inaugural lighting of Swan Hill's Christmas Tree at 7pm on the grass area behind the Clock Tower in McCallum Street.
"The festivities kick off at 4pm, featuring late-night shopping and a host of activities that are sure to delight all ages. Enjoy live Carols by the Swan Hill City Band, kids' activities, face painting, ice cream, and the Swan Hill cash grab.
"And of course, the evening wouldn't be complete without a special visit from Santa himself and a surprise appearance from a cheeky Grinch to add some playful mischief to the celebrations," Mr Barber added.
Mr Barber said no matter how one celebrates this season, it is a time to come together as a community.
"Please bring your friends and family, and let's make this a joyful and memorable evening for all.
Don't miss out on this magical event. Let's light up Swan Hill and celebrate the start of the festive season together," he added.
