The highly anticipated Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural Hub has reached a major construction milestone last week, with the pouring of the concrete slab.

This marks a significant step forward in the development of this landmark project, which will enhance the region's tourism appeal and celebrate the area's rich cultural heritage.

Swan Hill Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Stuart King, welcomed the progress and highlighted the importance of the hub for the local community and visitors alike.

"The pouring of the slab is a significant achievement and a clear sign that this project is well on its way to becoming a reality," Cr King said.

"The Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural Hub will be a centrepiece for our community, providing a space that showcases our unique history, supports local businesses, and attracts visitors to our region.

"Once completed, the Tourism and Cultural Hub will feature modern visitor information services, interactive cultural displays, and dedicated spaces for community events and exhibitions," he said.

Cr King said the project is part of Council's broader vision to boost tourism, support local businesses, and create an engaging space that reflects Swan Hill's vibrant identity.

"We look forward to continuing to see this next phase of construction progress and the many opportunities this space will bring to our community," Cr King said.
