Swan Unveils Two New EV Charging Stations

Two new electronic vehicle (EV) charging stations are available to the community, driving Swan toward a more sustainable future.

It's all part of the City's commitment to reducing our impact on the environment by reaching net zero corporate emissions by 2050.

The City received a grant for the two chargers in October 2024 from the WA Local Government Association through the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) as part of their Driving the Nation Program.

They were installed and tested in early 2025 and are now available to the public for use.

The charging stations are at the City of Swan Administration Building, 2 Midland Square, Midland, replacing the previous ones which helped our City and community reduce emission since 2017.

Our community can plug in to the DC fast charger 24/7.

The AC charger is available outside of City operational use, (Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm) so you can plug in before or after work or school drop off/pick up.

In the 2024/25 financial year, the City charges 0.46c per kWh on each charger.

Check charger location and availability at plugshare.com or on the PlugShare app.
