Organised by the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP) at Karolinska Institutet and Region Stockholm, the Swedish Suicide Research Conference (SSRC) will serve as a scientific platform where researchers from various disciplines with a shared interest in suicide research can exchange knowledge, discuss scientific methods, establish networks, launch collaborative projects, enhance competencies, and inform evidence-based policy.
"We are excited to host the first Swedish Suicide Research Conference, which we believe will be a pivotal event for advancing suicide research in Sweden. By bringing together experts from various disciplines, we aim to foster collaboration and innovation that will ultimately contribute to better prevention strategies and policies," says Vladimir Carli and Gergö Hadlaczky , the conference organisers from NASP.
The two-day conference, scheduled to be held in Stockholm in 2025, has the potential to elevate Sweden's standing as a global leader in suicide research.
