Gloucester swimming lessons will resume this Saturday at the MidCoast moves into stage one of the NSW Government's roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions.
Both the Gloucester hydrotherapy pool and outdoor public pool are open for patrons who are double vaccinated, Council's Executive Manager of Community Spaces, Daniel Aldridge explained.
"As a result any adult who accompanies a child for their swimming lessons is required to be double vaccinated under the requirements of the NSW Government's Public Health Order," Mr Aldridge explained.
For swimming lesson bookings please contact Gloucester Pool on 6538 5270.
MidCoast Council's unsupervised pools at Bulahdelah, Stroud and Nabiac are still only available for user groups with bookings who have their own COVID safety plan.
These plans will need to include the requirement for all users to be double vaccinated.
"Although our unsupervised pools remain closed to the general public, where possible we've made them available for use by local swim clubs, subject to them holding their own COVID-19 Safety Plans and insurance. Use is based on a booking system, and means the swim groups assume all responsibility for complying with current public health orders."
Krambach pool remains closed due to its size and inability to accommodate group bookings.
The YMCA operated Manning Aquatic Leisure Centre and Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre are open, with the Wingham Memorial Swimming Pool currently scheduled to reopen on Monday 18 October.
The Tea Gardens Swimming Pool will reopen early December to the general community under YMCA supervision, and is currently available for user groups with their own COVID safety plan.
