Swimmer dies after pulled from ocean - Mid North Coast

A man has died after he was pulled from the ocean on the Mid North Coast this afternoon.

Just before 3pm (Sunday 7 March 2021), emergency services were called to Main Beach, Nambucca Heads, following reports a person was missing in the water.

Following a search, a man, aged in his 20s, was pulled from the ocean near Valla Beach.

NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the man, however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Mid North Coast Police District attended and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
