Swing into the festive season in December's Morning Melodies at the Pilbeam Theatre with a tribute to Christmas classics of the swing and boogie woogie era.
Andrews & Bing Christmas Swing is a bright an engaging concert featuring the Christmas songs of The Andrews Sisters and Bing Crosby.
Starring three self-described sassy divas, backed by their band The Miller Horns, the show replicates the close harmony style and intricate vocal arrangements that were the hallmark of The Andrews Sisters.
The original Andrews sisters trio brought joy to many during World War 2. Together with Bing Crosby, they recorded many classic Christmas tunes such as Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, their iconic version of Jingle Bells, Mele Kalikimaka and White Christmas, the best-selling single of all time.
Along with Christmas classics, audiences are sure to love a selection of other well known pieces from the era.
Morning Melodies: Andrews & Bing Christmas Swing will be performed at the Pilbeam Theatre on Monday 9 December at 11am, with a free morning tea provided before the show, from 10am.
