Emergency services are currently on scene at a serious crash in the Sydney CBD.
About 4.10am today (Wednesday 17 April 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a utility and a motorcycle at the intersection of King Street and York Street, Sydney.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the motorcycle rider at the scene before they were taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the utility – a 36-year-old man – was uninjured and has been taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from City Central Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are awaiting the arrival of specialist police.
The intersection is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
