A Grand Prix has been scheduled in Gong-Xi, Chinese Taipei between 21 to 30 September, 2024. This Grand Prix was previously scheduled later in the year, and only recently advertised by the ISSF, and indicating the date shift.
An opportunity is now available to provide future Olympic cycle athletes with access to an international competition to further grow and develop their skills.
The team will be selected in accordance with the 2024 ISSF World Cups and Grands Prix Team Selection Criteria. This Criteria has now been amended to include this Grand Prix (Refer to Appendix 3.) The 2024 Olympic Nomination Leaderboards will be used to determine the order athletes might be selected to an event at this Grand Prix, and those athletes who are eligible for selection, will receive direct communication advising this.
Amended World Cup and Grand Prix Selection Criteria
Athletes not eligible for selection include:
- Athletes age-eligible for the 2024 Junior World Championships; and
- Athletes who have been selected to an Olympic Team including Paris or prior Olympic Games.
Preliminary entries for this Grand Prix are due by 21 July, therefore athletes who are eligible for selection will be required to confirm acceptance of their position on the team as quickly as possible.
