All The Rage: An evening with Paulie Stewart
Join music legend and activist Paulie Stewart OAM as he talks about his memoir, All the Rage, with host Claire Halliday.
In this special event, Paulie discusses his music and activism and will perform a special live set. All The Rage explores how he channelled his anger from the murder of his brother, one of the Balibo Five, into the infamous Painters and Dockers band, putting the Australian music scene on notice.
From being formed with the intention of a one-time performance to pay a friend's parking fine, Painters and Dockers became a 40-year-long punk rock band with a cult following that was inducted into The Age's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012.
Paulie's story transcends music and activism and is full of laugh-out-loud anecdotes and encounters with major stars including Billy Idol, Keith Richards, Johnny Rotten, The Wiggles, Midnight Oil, Yothu Yindi and Nick Cave.
Recommended for adult audiences, with book sales available on the night, this is a free event, but bookings are required.
