Tas Govs Stance on Duttons Nuclear Plans?

Further questions have been raised about the Tasmanian government's support for nuclear energy, which poses a threat to Tasmania's renewable future and $25 billion worth of renewable investments.

On Friday, federal, state and territory climate and energy ministers met to discuss a number of issues, including nuclear power.

After the meeting, the group issued a communique which on the topic of nuclear, read: "Ministers for the commonwealth, states where nuclear reactors have been proposed, and the territories reiterated their opposition to nuclear."

This statement noticeably doesn't capture Tasmania.

We've already seen Eric Abetz express his support for nuclear energy, which would have terrible consequences for Tasmania's renewable energy future, threatening to jeopardise $25 billion of investment and thousands of safe, secure, well-paid jobs for Tasmanian workers.

Was Nick Duigan too afraid to stand up to Peter Dutton's nuclear plans, or does the Liberal government secretly support nuclear power?

Jeremy Rockliff needs to come clean about where he stands on nuclear.
