Tasmania's world-class produce, beverages and entertainment will be on display for eight days at the iconic Taste of Summer Festival.
Launched today by Premier and Minister for Tourism, Jeremy Rockliff, about 80 different stalls are serving up Tasmania's finest produce and dishes from around the world.
"The Taste of Summer is a showcase of our State's best, and this year's program recognises the breadth of what Tasmanian producers have to offer," Premier Rockliff said.
"More than 25 per cent of this year's stallholders are from outside of Hobart, and a third of those businesses are located in the North, North West and East Coast of Tasmania.
"This is a fantastic representation of the food scene across our State.
"As a long-time supporter of the Taste of Summer, the Tasmanian Government is proud to invest $7.7 million to support the event's delivery through to 2026.
"Visitors inject $3.5 billion into the Tasmanian economy each year, and we want to grow this number as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future."
This year's music and entertainment program features a line-up of local acts, including students and emerging artists, and plenty of family-friendly offerings.
Australian rock band Hoodoo Gurus will perform at the ticketed New Year's Eve event.
Entry will be free on Tuesday, 31 December during the event's daytime hours, 12pm – 4pm, with extra children's and family activities programmed throughout that day.
The Taste of Summer runs at PW1 through until Saturday, 4 January 2025. Tickets are on sale at tasteofsummer.com.au
