Tasmania's North and North West will be on television screens across Australia this December as part of Australian TV series 'Taste of Australia'.

Hosted by former MasterChef contestant Hayden Quinn, the TV series showcases the best produce and scenery from around the country, airing on 7two and 7plus in 2024 and on SBS in 2025.

Filming is underway this week with the two Tasmanian episodes supported by Tourism Tasmania as part of the State's latest Come Down For Air marketing campaign.

Premier and Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Jeremy Rockliff said the North West offers some of the finest produce and landscapes in the country.

"Tasmania's agritourism experiences play an important role in attracting visitors to our regions, spreading the benefits across the State," Premier Rockliff said.

"We are also seeing the flow on effects in our cafes and restaurants, with businesses proudly featuring locally sourced and seasonal produce on their menus.

"We're excited to collaborate with Hayden Quinn and Taste of Australia to showcase agritourism experiences in the North and North West.

"Engaging in partnerships across a range of platforms, particularly TV, are an important element of how we spread our Come Down For Air message to Australians."
