A 16-year-old youth has been charged with stealing with force after an incident at a shopping centre in Claremont about 12.15pm today.
Police will allege the youth stole several items from the supermarket and produced scissors prior to leaving the area.
The youth was located nearby and arrested and charged. They will appear before the Youth Justice Court at a later date.
No one was injured in the incident.
