Tasmania's 2024–25 Taste of Summer festival program is shaping up to be another classic celebration of the island's premium food, beverages and entertainment.
This year, visitors can look forward to up to 80 different stalls and taste bars serving up everything from our finest fresh seafood to world-class wine.
Minister for Sports and Events, Nick Duigan, said Taste of Summer was one of Tasmania's most iconic events.
"Tasmania is renowned for its world-class produce, and the Taste of Summer is a great chance to showcase this each year," Minister Duigan said.
"This is truly a celebration of our whole state, with more than 25 per cent of this year's stallholders coming from outside of Hobart, and a third of those businesses located in the north, north west and east coast of Tasmania.
"There are 17 new stallholders participating in the 2024–25 festival, so people can look forward to sampling something different on their plates this year.
"Tasmanian Government, through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, has locked in the future of our iconic events, including the Taste.
"We are supporting the festival with a total of $7.7 million through to 2026 to keep this iconic event – and patrons – coming back for more."
This year's festival includes a jam-packed lineup of entertainment, with Australian rock favourites Hoodoo Gurus set to play the main stage on New Year's Eve and many local acts featured across the program.
Entry will be free during the event's daytime hours, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, on Tuesday 31 December, with additional children's and family activities scheduled throughout that day.
The Taste of Summer will take place at PW1 from Saturday, 28 December 2024 to Saturday, 4 January 2025. Tickets are now on sale: tasteofsummer.com.au
