By strategically investing in artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, the federal government is taking steps to engage Canadian businesses on how to capitalize on their potential while helping solve some of today's biggest challenges.
Today, Jenica Atwin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, and Member of Parliament for Fredericton, announced $2,794,100 through ACOA's Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program for TechImpact. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA.
This investment will support TechImpact's Digital Boost 3.0, a province-wide program that will provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to the expertise and resources they need to navigate the complexities of data, cybersecurity, and AI and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies.
The project also supports the development of the CollabHub digital platform, a bilingual platform promoting New Brunswick's technology ecoysytem with a directory of solution providers, latest tech news events, and career opportunities.
Today's announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada's commitment to help businesses use technology and digital platforms to innovate and grow their businesses in a rapidly changing economy.
