A teenage boy has been charged after an extended follow across Melbourne's northern and southern suburbs.
It is alleged the teenager stole a white Mercedes in a burglary in Black Rock on Wednesday, 10 July.
The vehicle was then sighted by the Air Wing in Templestowe about 12pm on Friday, 12 July.
The driver of the Mercedes was allegedly seen to be driving at excessive speeds, weaving in and out of traffic as it made its way through numerous suburbs.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed by police at Seaford Road in Seaford and two occupants from the car were arrested at the scene.
A 16-year-old Mornington boy is facing 22 charges including home invasion, aggravated burglary, theft, handle stolen goods, conduct endangering serious injury, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police and driving whilst unlicensed.
He has been remanded and will face a children's court later today.
His passenger, a 17-year-old Black Rock girl, has been released pending further enquiries.
