Teen Charged in Forster Break-in, Car Theft

A teenager will appear in court today (Friday 9 August 2024) after being charged following an alleged break-in and car theft at Forster.

About 3am Friday 5 July 2024, police attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District attended a home on Konda Place, Forster, following reports a home was broken into, with keys and a Jeep stolen.

Following investigations under Operational Regional Mongoose, about 10am yesterday (Thursday 8 August 2024), officers attended a property on Mark Street, Foster, and arrested a 17-year-old boy.

He was taken to Forster Police Station and charged with 10 offences:

  • Aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal
  • Five counts of be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
  • Steal motor vehicle
  • Three counts of commit s154A offence and disseminate

The 17-year-old boy was refused bail to appear at a children's court today.

Police will allege in court the teen was involved in six vehicle thefts.
