Teen Charged in Lismore Robbery, Property Crimes

A teenager has been charged over alleged armed robbery and break and enter offences in the state's north.

Officers attached to Richmond Police District commenced an investigation following an alleged aggravated break and enter at a house on Little Keen Street, Lismore, between the evening of Sunday 23 March 2025 and the morning of Monday 24 March 2025.

During the break and enter, a Subaru station wagon was allegedly stolen from the property.

About 5.30pm on Tuesday 25 March 2025, police were called to a bottle shop on Keen Street, Lismore, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police were told two males allegedly stole several bottles of alcohol from the shop, during which they also threatened an attendant with a knife.

The attendant was uninjured.

Following inquiries, about 10.30am yesterday (Wednesday 26 March 2025), police executed a search warrant at a property in Lismore, where a 15-year-old boy was arrested.

He was taken to Lismore Police Station and was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – armed, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, robbery armed with offensive weapon and face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence.

The 15-year-old boy was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Thursday 27 March 2025).

Investigations under Operation Soteria are ongoing.
