Teen Charged in Melbourne Aggravated Burglaries

Southern Metro Region Crime Squad detectives have charged a boy following a series of alleged aggravated burglaries in Melbourne's south last week.

Detectives will allege offenders gained access to an Almond Street, Caulfield South property just after 4am on 7 February.

They allegedly stole keys to two cars and a motorbike, before fleeing in the victim's BMW X5 and Ford Ranger.

Investigators believe the same offenders attended a property on Hardinge Street, Beaumaris about 5.35am.

It is alleged they took car keys, wallets and watches before stealing a Mazda MX5, an Audi Q5 and a BMW X3.

The occupants were not physically injured during any of the incidents.

This morning detectives arrested a 15-year-old Springvale boy in relation to a series of aggravated burglaries and theft of motor vehicles.

He was charged with four counts of aggravated burglary and seven counts of theft of motor vehicle.

The boy was presented before a children's court and was remanded in custody.
