Teen Charged in Moree Break-In: Operation Mongoose

A teenager has been charged over an alleged break and enter in Moree.

About 10am on Sunday 6 October 2024, police were called to a house on Edward Street, Moree, following reports of a break and enter.

Officers attached to New England Police District attended and found the house had allegedly been broken into and ransacked, with several items stolen.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 12.45pm today (Wednesday 27 November 2024) a 14-year-old boy was arrested at Moree Police Station.

He was charged with one count of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal.

The teenager was granted conditional bail to appear before a children's court on Thursday 19 December 2024.
