Teen Charged in Operation Regional Mongoose Break-Ins

A teenager has been charged with break and enter related offences in the states west.

Just before 2pm yesterday (Thursday 9 January 2025), officers attached to New England Police District's Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant at a property in Yulunga Street, Moree.

During the search of the home, police located and seized a mobile phone and a number of clothing items.

About 1.35pm today (Friday 10 January 2025), police arrested a 13-year-old boy at the Moree property.

He was taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, breach of bail, and two counts of aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence- use violence.

The boy was refused bail to appear before a children's court tomorrow (Saturday 11 January 2025).
