A teenager will appear in court today charged with property offences in the Broken Hill area.
About 12.30am on Tuesday 1 April 2025, officers from Barrier Police District commenced an investigation in relation to an aggravated break and enter at a house in Beryl Street, Broken Hill, which involved the alleged theft of a set of keys and a wallet containing cash.
About 12.40pm, Broken Hill Police, operating under Operation Soteria, arrested a 14-year-old boy at a house in Broken Hill.
The boy was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent – knowing a person to be there and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at a children's court today (Wednesday 2 April 2025).
