A teenager has been charged after another teen was hospitalised following a stabbing in Griffith yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 3.40pm today, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest at a home in Ulong Street.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Griffith Hospital, where he was treated for non life threatening injuries and subsequently released.
Officers from Griffith Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 4pm today, a 16-year-old boy attended Griffith Police Station where he was arrested.
He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and refused bail to appear in a children’s court tomorrow.
