Teen Charged With Murder in Shellharbour Stabbing

A teenage boy will appear in court today charged as investigations continue into the death of a man near Shellharbour this week.

Emergency services were called to Saturn Crescent, Dunmore, about 3pm on Tuesday (28 January 2025), where a 25-year-old man was found critically injured.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for a stab wound to his abdomen; however, he died at the scene.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District commenced an investigation under Strike Force Feods, with the assistance of the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.

Initial investigations revealed the man had allegedly been stabbed while being assaulted by a number of people who fled in an Isuzu MU-X. The vehicle was later recovered in Albion Park Rail and seized for forensic examination.

Following inquiries, a 35-year-old woman has been charged and remains before the courts.

About 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 29 January 2025), detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy at a home in Horsley.

He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with murder and possess unauthorised pistol in relation to the seizure of a gel blaster firearm.

The teen was refused bail to appear at Children's Court today (Thursday 30 January 2025).
