A boy has died in hospital following a collision in Fitzroy early this morning.
Police have been told the teenager was driving a SYM Orbit motorised scooter along Nicholson Street when it appears he collided with a vehicle about 12.40am.
The rider, a 15-year-old Echuca boy, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their enquiries.
Investigations into the collision are ongoing and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
