Teen killed in Scarsdale collision

A 17-year-old girl has died following a collision in Scarsdale yesterday afternoon, Victoria Police say.

A Ford Telstar and Toyota Hilux collided at the intersection of the Old Glenelg Highway and Glenelg Highway about 5pm.

The teenage passenger in the Telstar, from Scarsdale, was killed.

The driver of the Telstar, a 34-year-old Creswick man, was taken to a Melbourne hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The three occupants of the Toyota Hilux - a 25-year-old Scarsdale man who was driving, a 57-year-old Queensland man and a 50-year-old Scarsdale woman – were all taken to a local hospital for observation.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
