Cessnock City Library is hosting a suite of transformative well-being workshops for teenagers, designed to nurture the holistic wellness of young people within the local community.
From the calming benefits of aromatherapy, to the harmonising effects of sound healing, these workshops offer teenagers a unique opportunity to explore practices that promote inner balance, relaxation and self-care.
Library Services Coordinator Rose-marie Walters said that these teen-focused sessions represent a wonderful opportunity for the youth of our community to prioritise and optimise their mental and emotional health.
"In today's fast-paced world, it's crucial for young people to have access to tools and practices that support their well-being," said Ms Walters.
"At Cessnock City Library, we're always looking to provide innovative and valuable resources, while offering a safe environment to connect with fellow community members of similar ages and interests."
Led by experienced practitioner Kristy Woods, and scheduled to take place every Thursday between 4-5pm between 16 May and 20 June 2024, these engaging workshops will cover a range of practical subjects including learning the power of crystals, sound healing, balancing energy through chakras, aromatherapy, and Gua Sha facial massage.
Admission to the workshops is free and available to teens aged between 13 and 18 years. Interested participants are encouraged to reserve their spot early to avoid disappointment by visiting the 'What's On Teens' section of the library website
